Principal's Corner
Get to know Mrs. Hacker and Mrs. Walther...
Jennifer Hacker has been the very proud principal of the Stanley Elementary School for the last twelve years! Prior to becoming an administrator in Waltham, Jennifer worked as a literacy coach for five years. Before Waltham, she worked in the Chelsea Public Schools as a Kindergarten teacher and Literacy Coach. Growing up in Burlington MA and attending Burlington High School and Tufts University, Jennifer always knew she wanted to be a principal and is so glad. She loves being a principal as much as she thought she would.
When Jennifer is not at Stanley, she spends her time with her husband John Hacker, who teaches at Waltham High School, and her two children CJ age 18 and Bella age 16. Jennifer and her family spend most of their time together in hockey rinks, on soccer fields or watching softball or baseball from the stands.
Erika Walther is the proud Assistant Principal of the Stanley Elementary School. She has worked in Waltham her whole career. Prior to becoming an administrator, she was a Grade 3 teacher, as well as a Title One teacher. Growing up in CT, Erika had the opportunity to get to know the Waltham community when she was in college and completed her student teaching practicum. Erika received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Elementary Education from Regis College in 2001, a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2004 from Regis College, and a Master of Education in Organizational Management from Endicott College in 2012. Erika loves Stanley, and it is truly her home away from home!
When she is not at Stanley, she enjoys spending time with her husband Josh, and her two children, Jackson (8) and Camden (6). Life is always exciting and busy with two young boys. :) . Erika and her family live in Walpole.
