Unit 1

Introduction

Helping Students in their understanding of leadership is the purpose of Unit 1. 

Students will create personal definitions of leadership in class 1 and explore characteristics of leaders in class 2. Comparing and discussing perceptions of leadership is the objective of class 3

Class 4 enables students to identify their own personal leadership style.

Unit 2

Understanding Self

Before students can be effective leaders, they must first understand their personality traits and how those affect their leadership abilities. 

Class 1-3  students will identify their personality traits and determine their personality style. 

Class 4-5 Creating an awareness of self-esteem and building confidence are the objectives of those classes.

Class 6-8 concentrate on individual values and how they affect the decisions we make and our actions in different situations. 

Unit 3

Communication

How do Leaders Communicate effectively?


demonstrate the effective use of nonverbal communication. improve their listening ability.
use effective communication when working with others. strengthen their public speaking skills.

The purpose of this Unit is to improve the student’s communication competency in all areas. 

Class 1-2 will teach students the importance of nonverbal cues (facial expressions, hand movements, and eye contact) in communication.

Class 2-3 Listening is the focus while improving interpersonal communication and relationships.

Class 3-4 Leading group discussions will be practiced and concentration on public speaking training and tips. 

Class 5-6 students can sharpen their interview skills
