narrative: Students will examine a variety of issues including bullying, harassment, dating violence, sexual assault, and the impact of the media in society. Students will explore the sources of violence in school and society and will develop skills to prevent and combat violent situations acquiring effective conflict resolution skills to foster personal growth. Self defense strategies will be taught in this class. Particular attention will be paid to dating violence and the importance of developing healthy relationships

2 Classes | Sexism/Gender Violence | students will learn about the connection between sexism and gender violence and develop the skills needed to prevent this as well as to be an upstander when this happens | |
9 Classes | Sexual Assault/Dating Violence | students will learn how to identify sexual assual and dating violence as well as how to prevent it or what to do if it is happing to them or someone they love. They will learn what a healthy relationship is and how to have a healthy relationship | |
